2017 Hajj: Kwara Pilgrimage Board screens 2004 intending Pilgrims

The Kwara Muslim Pilgrims welfare Board on Saturday said it had screened 2004 intending Pilgrims from the state as part of preparation for 2017 Hajj operation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The Executive Secretary of the board, Hajia Fatima Abolore-iimoh disclosed this during an interview with ROYAL NEWS in llorin, the Kwara capital on Saturday.
She said the 2004 intending Pilgrims screened by the Board were selected from from over 2500 who registered on line for the holy trip.
The Executive Secretary said there is no age limit for the journey, stating that aged Pilgrims need to be accompanied by their young relations.
Hajia Abolore-Jimoh revealed that payment of 2017 Hajj fare by those screened will commence on Monday, the 27th February at the board premises in llorin.
She said the intending Pilgrims sreened by the board ill later be sujected to medical screening to ascertain fitness for the holy trip.
Our Correspondent who visited the Pilgrims Board office in llorin reports that it has become a beehive of activities in preparation for the holy trip.
It would be recalled that the state lnternal revenue service created a site in early January where intending Pilgrims with valid lnternational passport registered on line.
