The leader of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon (Dr.) Hassan Oyeleke, has described the move by some groups to commence his recall process from the assembly as frivolous, misplaced of priority and condemnable.

The lawmaker who spoke with ROYAL NEWS on Tuesday night described the allegations leveled against him as a gang up by some members of the ruling APC and PDP in the area aimed at discrediting his political image.

It was gathered that some members of Eesa/Shawo/Igbodun state constituency in the Offa local government area of the state alleged that the lawmaker had not initiated or supported any motion to effect delivery of his campaign promises to his constituents, adding that he had not influenced a single constituency project since his first tenure in office in 2011 till date.

While reacting, Hon. Oyeleke, said that the executive was in charge of project implementation in various parts of the state, stressing that his people were aware of his empowerment activities and were not complaining.

He however maintained that, “The political jobbers have actually demonstrated their outright disconnection from the numerous activities of the current leadership of the House of Assembly which have no doubt translated positively in the lives of Kwarans in which I played active roles. Such motion was that which led to the reversal of hike in the tuition fees of the Kwara State polytechnic among others.

“I am not surprised at their venture because you would also recall that similar act was attempted on our distinguished senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki and later, it was also attempted on Senator Rafiu Ibrahim. All their attempts have failed on the duo and I am very sure that this will also be laid to rest and fissled-out very soon. ”

He therefore urged his constituents and Kwarans at large to remain calm and resolute in the fact that more dividends of democracy will be brought to the community in no distant time stressing that the leadership of the state assembly will continue to follow-up with people’s oriented programmes in the state.
