2019: Hamza Al-Mustapha for President?
A youth group has called on Ndigbo to adopt Hamza Al-Mustapha as Odumegwu Ojukwu’s son in diaspora
– The group said Al-Mustapha has been honouring the late Ojukwu’s memorial lecture with massive delegation from north and western region of Nigeria
– The group also begged the chief security officer to the late Sani Abacha to run for presidency in 2019
A youth group has called on Ndigbo to adopt Hamza Al-Mustapha, a chief security officer to a former Nigeria’s military head of state, late Sani Abacha, as Odumegwu Ojukwu’s son.
The group, Youth Patriotic Front Nigeria said it is important for the Igbo people to adopt Al-Mustapha as a diaspora son of the late Biafran warlord.
In a press statement made available to NAIJ.com at the sixth remembrance ceremony of the Ikemba Nnewi, the group said since his freedom from prison, Al-Mustapha has been honouring the late Ojukwu’s memorial lecture with massive delegation from north and western region of Nigeria.

YPFN said the adoption has become very important especially at the point when Nigeria is facing various forms of ethnic conflict capable of distracting governance and peaceful co-existence.
The national president of the YPFN, Sunny Udeh, appealled to Al-Mustapha to contest for president in 201.
Udeh said the former Abacha’s CSO represents a shining example of what the youths are clamouring for.
“We are tired of crises entrepreneurs, re-adjusters and political travelers who exploit the ignorance of the common man/ youths to suit their selfish political interest,” Udeh said.
He further thanked all those who turned out on their own to celebrate the hero of justice (Ojukwu) and prayed that his soul will continue to rest in peace.

Also, Al-Mustapha who was welcomed by millions of his supporters in Owerri, Imo state’s capital city also promised Nigerians to unite against common problems so that it will be tackled passionately.
The former CSO to Abacha said issues concerning Nigeria is of immense importance to him.
“We will continue to respect the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu,” Al-Mustapha said.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that President Muhammadu Buhari had expressed his sympathy to the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Oyegun, over the resignation of a former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, from the party.
President Buhari commiserated with the party’s leadership after Atiku left the APC.
There are also speculations that the former vice president might be heading for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where he is expected to pick a nomination form for the party’s 2019 presidential campaign.
