400 Kwankwaso’s loyalists jostle for commissioner appointment in Kano
ROYAL NEWS reports that the newly elected governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday, took oath of office, while the immediate past Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, refused to attend.
Instead, Ganduje decided to attend the Presidential Inauguration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the 16th President of Nigeria and handed over power on Sunday night (yesterday).
However, findings by our reporter revealed that only 20 out of the 400 persons struggling to serve as cabinet members under the Abba Gida-Gida may likely be considered, a decision which would make the polity a bit tensed.
It would recalled that, during the inauguration ceremony, the 14th Fulani Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II was invited but he was not physically present at the venue of the ceremony.
The yardstick and criteria to be adopted in the selection process is yet unknown, considering the fact that it a hard-earned victory to the entire members of Kwakwasiyya movement according to sources.
