I received with shock the sad news of the passing of veteran Kannywood actress Hajiya Saratu Gidado (Daso), who was said to be full of life just yesterday.
Throughout her lifetime, Daso has used her talent and craft to put smiles on the faces of millions of families with the vibrant execution of her roles and on her social media.
Her passing is not only a loss for her family but the creative community and the nation at large.
May Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her aljannah firdaus.
My heart and that of my family go to her family, and Kannywood.
I pray the families and friends find solace in Almighty Allah SWT.
