AHEAD of the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kwara Command (NSCDC), has ordered the deployment of over 3,000 personnel to beef up security during and after the sallah celebration.
This followed that the approval of the State Commandant, Dr. Umar J.G Mohammed, on Thursday, ROYAL NEWS has gathered.
Commandant Umar said, “The deployment will span across the 16 Local Government Areas of the state, with special attention given to high-risk areas such as black spots, flashpoints, vulnerable locations, and places with frequent criminal activities.”
He also instructed Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and Divisional Officers, to conduct continuous patrols and ensure extensive deployment to guarantee a smooth and safe celebration.
Umar also issued a stern warning to miscreants, vandals, and other potential troublemakers planning to disrupt the peace and order during the festive period, advising them to desist from such actions.
He further stressed that the command is fully prepared and equipped to enforce the law, ensuring that offenders face the full consequences of their actions.
While congratulating Muslim faithful in the state on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, he urged them to support the NSCDC and other security agencies by reporting any suspicious individuals or activities that could threaten the peace and stability of the state.
