The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has expressed his excitement over the appointment of Professor Ibrahim Abikan as the Director-General of Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS).
In a goodwill message issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir rejoiced with Abikan, a Lecturer in the Department of Islamic Law at the University of Ilorin.
As the new Director-General and Council Member of Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari said, “I have the confidence thag Professor Abdulquadir Ibrahim Abikan SAN will bring his wealth of experience to improve and drive NIALS to nation’s legal advancement.”
While urging Professor Abikan to uphold professionalism, integrity and national unity in the discharge of his assignment, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari thanked President Bola Tinubu GCFR for considering an indigene of Ilorin Emirate for such appointment.
He therefore prayed that Almighty Allah guide the new Director-General of NIALS in his general conducts to the advancement of his mandates and benefit of the nation as well as humanity in general.
