Kwara announces deadline for payment of N8.4m 2025 Hajj fare

Date:

The Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abdulkadri Abdulsalam, has announced that the deadline for completing all Hajj 2025 payments will be Friday, April 11, 2025.

The Secretary made this declaration during a live radio programme where he addressed important matters concerning the upcoming pilgrimage.

Alhaji Abdulsalam emphasized that the total cost for this year’s Hajj exercise is ₦8,459,000 while also appealing to all intending pilgrims who have made partial payments to ensure they complete their balance before the April 11 deadline, as no extensions will be granted.

“The Board will not accept any payments after this date,” he announced.

The Secretary specifically urged pilgrims to submit their international passports for visa processing without delay and he stressed that only valid passports with at least six months’ validity will be accepted for the pilgrimage as this early submission is crucial to avoid last-minute complications with visa issuance.

Regarding pilgrim conduct, Alhaji Abdulsalam advised all intending pilgrims to maintain exemplary behavior throughout their journey, particularly when in the Holy Land.

He reminded them that they represent not just themselves but the entire Kwara State community, and as such should uphold the highest standards of morality and decorum.

According to him, the Board will soon announce dates for mandatory enlightenment programs and vaccination exercises and that these sessions will provide essential information about Hajj rites, travel protocols, and health requirements. The Secretary assured pilgrims that these programs are designed to prepare them adequately for the spiritual journey.

For the 2025 pilgrimage, Max Air has been contracted as the official airline to transport Kwara State pilgrims. The Board is working closely with the airline to ensure comfortable and timely airlift operations.

Alhaji Abdulsalam concluded by reassuring the public of the Board’s commitment to facilitating a smooth and successful Hajj exercise for all Kwara State pilgrims. He encouraged anyone with inquiries to contact the Board’s office for clarification on any aspect of the pilgrimage process.
