The Kaduna State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has hailed the successful conduct of its primary elections across various constituencies, describing the process as peaceful, transparent, and reflective of internal democracy.
In a statement signed by the state chairman, Edward Percy Masha, the party celebrated the emergence of Muazu Salisu Danyaro (Basawa), Abdullahi Mamuda Wappah (Zaria Kewaye), and Ester Ashuvelli Dawaki (Chikun/Kabiru) as its flagbearers for the upcoming 2025 polls.
“We commend our delegates for electing young, vibrant candidates, and we applaud the electoral committee for the transparent conduct of the primaries,” Masha stated.
The party also praised all eight aspirants—four each from the House of Assembly and House of Representatives—for displaying political maturity, sportsmanship, and peaceful conduct throughout the process.
According to Masha, “This spirit of unity will be critical to our victory in the August 16 elections.”
He called on all members of the party to rally behind the chosen candidates and ensure overwhelming support as the party prepares to unveil its campaign council and begin full-scale campaigns.
“As always, we assure the electorate that the PDP under my leadership is committed to ensuring that votes are cast freely, counted transparently, and results reflect the will of the people,” he concluded.
