Actress Iyabo Ojo Not Wanted, Police Say Notice Is Fake

Date:

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has debunked a viral “wanted” notice circulating on social media, which falsely claimed that Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo was being sought by its operatives.

In a statement released on its official Facebook page, the Force described the document as fake, stressing that it did not originate from the Office of the Inspector General of Police or any official police platform.

The NPF cautioned the public against falling for misinformation, describing the notice as “false, misleading, and never issued by the Force.”

“FAKE NEWS ALERT! This ‘WANTED’ poster of actress Iyabo Ojo did not emanate from the Nigeria Police Force. It is false, misleading & was never posted on any official NPF platform. Disregard & stop spreading fake news,” the statement read.

The police further urged Nigerians to verify all security-related information strictly through its official communication channels, warning that unverified reports could cause unnecessary panic and misrepresentation.
