Late Chief Imam of Ilorin

Janazah for the repose of the late Chief Imam of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Ulama, Shaykh (Dr) Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih OON will hold on Tuesday 20th January 2026.

 

The gathering will hold the Emir’s palace square by 10am.

 

This followed the approval of the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, due the late arrival of the corpse from Abuja.

 

This is contained in a statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Emir, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, stressing that the demise of the revered scholar has left wide vaccum in the Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

 

 

The Emir urged the general public to be part of the spiritual gathering and continue to pray for the Allah’s mercies for the departed soul.

 

 

Recall that the 12th Chief Imam of Ilorin, Shaykh (Dr) Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih OON died at the age of 75 after a brief illness.
