Former Thierry Henry has urged FC Barcelona to consider signing Nigeria international Victor Osimhen, listing him among three top forwards the club should target.
Osimhen, who currently plays for Galatasaray S.K. after completing a permanent move last summer, helped inspire the Turkish side to a domestic double last season.
The 27-year-old has continued his strong form this campaign, registering 15 goals and five assists in 23 appearances across all competitions.
Speaking to Sport, Henry said Barcelona need a proven number nine capable of converting chances created by their attacking talents.
“Barcelona need a real number 9. A top-level striker,” Henry said, naming Osimhen alongside Erling Haaland and Harry Kane as ideal options.
He stressed that the club require established finishers rather than developing prospects, adding that with a creator like Lamine Yamal supplying chances, efficiency in front of goal is crucial.
“When you have a talent like Lamine Yamal, who makes passes like that, you have to score. It’s simple. At this level, one chance is enough,” Henry stated.
