Led by captain Harry Kane, who scored twice against Croatia, and midfield star Jude Bellingham, England know that a win over Ghana will guarantee progression to the last 32.

Much of the focus remains on veteran captain Cristiano Ronaldo, whose performance in the opener reignited debate over his role in the starting lineup. The 41-year-old has now gone 10 major tournament matches without scoring.
Portugal coach Roberto Martinez defended his captain, describing Ronaldo as a role model and an example for younger players, although he stopped short of confirming whether the forward would start against Uzbekistan.
Martinez said the frustration from the opening draw could serve as motivation for Portugal as they seek their first win of the tournament. Uzbekistan, appearing at a World Cup for the first time, will be hoping to pull off one of the competition’s biggest upsets.
