The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR has rejoiced with the former Chairman of the Board of Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) and Jarma of Ilorin Emirate, Alhaji Aliyu Kola Belgore OFR,on his attainment of the age of 80 on Wednesday 19th July 2023.
The monarch stated this in a goodwill message issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona on Wednesday, describing Belgore as an accomplished Banker, administrator, family man and proud ambassador of the Ilorin Emirate, being unique qualities that earned him the traditional title of Jarma of Ilorin in 2006.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari who extolled the virtues of the celebrant said: “As you become an Octogenarian, having spent over 960 months on earth covering different stages and statuses of human endeavours as a proud Nigerian and elderstatesman, I am glad to join your family, friends, associates and the entire world to celebrate and share the joy of the moment with you. On behalf of the generality of Shehu Alimi dynasty, you’re welcome to Octogenarian level.
“You have by your excellent qualities demonstrated exceptional leadership skills as an accomplished head of various banks in Nigeria and financial consultant to both local and international institutions without any blemish and thereby ensuring the security of investments of depositors and economic growth of the nation.”
The first class traditional ruler further confirmed that Belgore, an Officer of Order of Federal Republic, (OFR) is a blessing to humanity stressing that his loyalty and commitments to the unity and peace of the Ilorin Emirate deserves commendations from the entire Shehu Alimi dynasty.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari therefore prayed that Almighty Allah grant the celebrant more years on earth with sound health and absolute comfort to serve humanity and nation at large to the admiration of his Creator and benefit of mankind.
