Nollywood actress and producer Iyabo Ojo has extended heartfelt appreciation to fans, colleagues, and the general public for their overwhelming support following the recent fire incident at her office.
In a message shared on her Instagram page, Ojo expressed gratitude for the encouragement, prayers, and comforting words she received, stating that the show of love deeply touched her.
The fire, which occurred last week, caused damage to her office building. However, no casualties were reported. Ojo had earlier commended the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff for their swift intervention, which helped salvage part of the property.
“Your words of encouragement and prayers mean the world to me,” she wrote. “I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you. I don’t take it for granted. My beautiful people, please be at peace. Though the devil may rage, God triumphs in the end.”
The actress has also recently faced a wave of online trolling and death threats, especially related to her public advocacy following the death of musician Mohbad. Despite the backlash, she reiterated that she never accused anyone of causing the singer’s death and maintained her innocence.
Ojo revealed that she has endured prolonged cyberbullying, with individuals calling for her death and attacking her livelihood. She described the harassment as disturbing but affirmed her commitment to remain strong.
In response, several of her friends and colleagues in the film industry have shown solidarity. Actress Opeyemi Aiyeola praised Ojo’s character, describing her as “an angel to many,” and urged her to stay courageous and resilient.
