ADC Challenges APC Over Insecurity, Hunger, Unemployment

Date:

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop using personal attacks as a diversion from the worsening economic and security situation under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

In a strongly worded statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC criticized the APC for acting like an opposition party despite being in power.

The party accused the ruling APC of launching baseless attacks, especially on its members and former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, rather than addressing pressing national issues such as insecurity, economic collapse, and national disunity.

“The APC has chosen distraction over substance, insults over introspection, and propaganda over performance. But we must remind them that while words can be manipulated, the facts on the ground cannot,” the ADC stated.

Abdullahi emphasized that Nigerians are demanding solutions to hunger, unemployment, insecurity, and widespread despair, not political blame games.

He expressed dismay that a party which controls the presidency, both chambers of the National Assembly, and Nigeria’s vast resources still behaves like it is in the opposition.

“It is unfortunate that the APC continues to ignore the real issues and instead attacks those courageous enough to ask the tough questions,” the statement added.
