After 7rs: Release of remaining Chibok girls still underway— Presidency.

The presidency reassured concerned parents and citizens that the missing students of the government secondary school for girls, Chibok, Borno, are constantly on the mind of the government as they are still on the minds of their parents.

Malam Garba Shehu, the president’s senior special assistant for media and publicity, gave the assurance in a statement on the 7th anniversary of the kidnapping of the Chibok girls.

He also assured that the “release of the remaining Chibok girls was still underway.

“Nobody gives up hope here. Efforts to secure their release through various channels and activities of security and intelligence agencies are continuing ”.

According to the presidential assistant, the recent decisive push by the army against terrorists gives hope that a breakthrough is possible and can happen soon.

Shehu asked for support, understanding and prayers for the military as they fulfill their historic mandate to end the insurgency war quickly and free all citizens held hostage.
