Al-Hikmah University will emulate Unilorin success — VC, Prof Yusuf
The Vice-Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Prof. Noah Yusuf, has said that as a fast-growing university, is committed to emulating the success of the University of Ilorin and even improve on it where possible in the nearest future.
Prof. Yusuf, who was recently appointed to steer the ship of the institution, stated this last Monday (July 27, 2020) during his courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Sulyman Age Abdulkareem, in his office.
The Al-Hikmah Vice-Chancellor, who described the University of Ilorin as a mother university to Al-Hikmah University, described the visit as an understudying visit that would help his administration learn from the wealth of experience and success of Unilorin.

The Al-Hikmah Vice-Chancellor, who described the University of Ilorin as a mother university to Al-Hikmah University, described the visit as an understudying visit that would help his administration learn from the wealth of experience and success of Unilorin.
Prof. Yusuf, who also led his management team on a visit to the Technical Entrepreneurial Centre of the University of Ilorin, disclosed that the visit had challenged Al-Hikmah to take advantage of its vantage location in the heart of Ilorin to engage in commercially viable businesses in the University and its environs.
“We have customers outside our campus”, he said, adding that “we are here to see what we can copy and improve upon to help the revenue generation of our institution and improve our academic infrastructure”.
Prof. Yusuf thanked the University of Ilorin’s Vice-Chancellor for his support and fatherly role, saying that his University would continue to visit Unilorin for quality counsel from time to time.
Welcoming the Al-Hikmah University team to his office, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Abdulkareem, congratulated Prof. Yusuf on his appointment as Vice-Chancellor, wishing him a successful tenor.
Prof. Abdulkareem advised the new Al-Hikmah Vice-Chancellor to ensure that his reputation is not tarnished while in office, noting that everything should be within the regulation and resources available.
“Seek ventures that will make profit and advise your investors where to put their money”, Prof. Abdulkareem told Prof. Yusuf, saying, “You are to advise the management properly.
You are lucky to be leading an institution where the people can be mobilized to get things done”.
Prof. Abdulkareem also advised the new Vice-Chancellor to sustain the good name of Al-Hikmah University.
The Al-Hikmah Vice-Chancellor was accompanied on the visit by Prof. Lateef Oladimeji, Deputy Vice-Chancellor; Dr. J. K. Odusote, Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor; Dr. (Mrs.) R. M. Oladimeji, Registrar; and Mr. M. A. Oladejo, Bursar.
Joining Prof. Abdulkareem to receive the visitors were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services), Prof. B. F Sule; and the University Registrar; Dr. Fola M. Olowoleni.
