The governor told newsmen that “I am okay with the election and I am confident of securing victory in the poll”.

He appealed to the people of the state to go out enmass to exercise their franchise and ensure that their votes count.

He commended the massive turnout of electorate in the council area for the poll.

Also, UPP governorship candidate, Chief Osita Chidoka, voted at Obosi Central School at 10:05 a.m. Chidoka decried the late arrival of officials and materials to the various polling units.

Meanwhile, the PPA governorship candidate, Nr Godwin Ezeemo, has also decried the late arrival of officials and materials.

“I have been out to my Umuchu Ward 2 since 8 a.m., but the electoral officers are yet to come.

“If INEC fails to make up with the lost hours he will say his trust and confidence to the commission is breached,” Ezeemo said.
