Another Ward exco washes off Ndakenes’ APC rejection

All Progressives Congress (APC) Shonga  Ward One in Edu Local Goverent Area of Kwara State has dissociated itself from the purported rejection of the defection of Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene into the party.

This was contained in a statement issued by the leadership of the party in the ward, and made available to Journalists in Ilorin, the state capital.

The statement was signed by the party’s Vice Chairman, Hamza Suleiman; Assistant Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad; Treasurer, Musa Usman Madiu; Auditor, Abdulkadri Muhammad; Organising Secretary, Shuaib Baba and Ex-Officio, Idris Ndabayawo.

Other signatories were Ex-Officio, Yahaya Kuchita; Public Relations Officer 2, Alhassan Ndaba; Assistant Auditor, Ahmed Kusogi; Ex-Officio, Ndalati Kpelegi; Assistant Welfare Secretary, Ndabaru Kpatako; Assistant Women Leader, Yafatimma;  and Welfare Secretary, Ndanusa ; Assistant Organising Secretary, Dan Kano;Assistant Youth Leader, Yatswayan; Ex-Officio, Ibrahim Alfa; Assistant Treasurer, Alhassan Gimba; Ex-Officio, Alhaji  Ebannako; Ex-Officio, Ayisatu Abdullahi; Ex-Officio, Monday.

According to the statement, “Following various consultations, we discover that Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene’s attempt to decamp to our great party, APC is only being frustrated and rejected by some members with bad faith”.

The statement added,”this, we believe can affect progress and development of our town, Shonga and the party particularly in the build up to the 2019 General Elections.

“We, therefore, want to put on record that Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene truly and geniuely wrote to intimate the leadership of the ward of his plan to decamp to APC”.

The executives mentioned that,” the APC chairman in the ward, Alhaji Ndako Kassim announced at the executive council meeting that he received a letter from Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene, which is to intimate us of his intention, but that the letter sent by Alhaji Abubakar Abubakar Ndakene was returned back to him.

“The ward chairman, Alhaji Ndako Kassim later directed that Alhaji  Abubakar Ndakene’s issue of decamp should be suspended for now.

“Meanwhile, it is from our findings that we observed that certain people are instigating the leadership of the APC in Shonga Ward against Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene, which we all know will not do the party and the community any good.

“We want to state here categorically that we are in support of Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene’s defection to APC because we believe in the unity and progress of our entire town, Shonga and the APC”.
