APC Chieftain, Gbenga Awoyale tasks commissioner-designate on efficiency
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) and President General of Orisun Igbomina, Chief Gbenga Awoyale, has urged Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, to adopt policy frameworks that will accelerate infrastructural development in rural communities across the state.
He noted that such projects, when done, will further open up the grassroot for more economic and socio-cultural activities in a bid to provide dividends of democracy to the electorates.
Awoyale stated this when he received the Commissioners-designate from Irepodun Local Government Area, Mrs. Deborah Aremu, in his country home, Arandun, on Sunday. He commended the governor for the choice of the 45year-old educationist as a commissioner in his cabinet.
He added that Governor Abdulrazaq has changed the narratives of governance by ensuring wide and unique consultation in scouting for vibrant and articulate youths and resourceful women to drive his administration. “We are fully in support of your government and we shall ensure that we continue to rally round you when needed at all times”, he said.
Awoyale however appealed to the Commissioner-designate to be good ambassador of the people of Irepodun and Kwarans at large and pledged his unalloyed supports towards ensuring that she succeeds in her assignments.
He also appealed to the state government to attract more developmental projects Irepodun local government stressing that the dilapidated Oro-Aradun road which has become death trap is crying for repair.
In her remarks, Mrs. Deborah Aremu thanked the people of Arandun ward for their warm reception and promised to represent the communities diligently in the current administration.
She specially expressed delights to Chief Gbenga Awoyale for his contributions to grassroot development as well as promoting peaceful co-existence in the area.
