APC expels former Dep. Gov, 2 others

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress,  (APC) has expelled the Deputy Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Ahmed Musa Ibeto over alleged anti party activities.

ROYAL NEWS gathered the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in the state, Barrister Nasara Dan- Malam and Magama Local Government party chairman Abubakar Sadiq Maidoya, were also expelled.

APC Chairman in the state, Engr. Mohammad Jibrin Imam, stated this when he received delegation of wards and local government party executives from Magama local government area who presented letters of petitions against them.

The chairman of Ibeto ward, Danlami Mohammad who presented the expulsion letter of Ambassador Ahmed Musa Ibeto and four others said that the five former APC members were involved in various anti party activities that led to the removal of the local government chairman Salihu Ubandoma of the APC recently.

He explained that 21 ward executives signed their expulsion which has been forwarded to the state secretariat for ratification and endorsement, adding that they were not party members and acted contrary to the party constitution.

Also, Magama local government party Treasurer, Awwalu Sale while presenting the expulsion letter of the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Nasara Dan- Malam who is from Kura ward stated that he was the backbone in support of the removal of the council chairman.

He explained that Attorney General promised to avenge the party following the party’s refusal to nominate him as the candidate for the recent House of Representative bye election for Magama/Rijau Federal constituency hence his open support for the PDP candidate Safiyanu Yahaya who was sworn in last week by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello.

Sale who further explained to have written to the state governor on the matter calling for the removal of Barrister Dan- Malam as member of the state executive and be replaced with a loyal party member to represent the council in the state.

In same vein, Alhaji Muktar Dantani who is the council party youth leader also presented a signed petition against the party council chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Maidoya expelling him from the party over his roles in the removal of the immediate council chairman saying that the newly sworn in will decamp to APC soon next.

Dantani stressed that he refused to stand for the party at the time his efforts were needed hence his anti party activities.

The State Party Chairman, Engr. Mohammad Jibrin Imam while receiving the petition applauded them for peaceful conduct although rejected that of Attorney General, Barrister Nasara Dan- Malam due to lack of due process saying that the council executive can not represent ward executive with their complaints.

Imam who emphasized that APC is a party for justice and fairness that believed in rule of law, assured to set up committee to investigate the matter within two weeks to ensure justice considering the party’s constitution if anyone is found guilty of the offense will face the wrath of the law.
