Auto crash claims 3, injured 4 others in Ogun

Three persons were killed, while four others sustained various degrees of injuries after an accident involving two vehicles at Baagbon, on the  Abeokuta -Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday.

The Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps in the state, Mr Clement Oladele, stated this in Ota on Wednesday that the accident happened around 10.45 am on Tuesday.

Oladele said the incident occurred after a Toyota Corolla without a registration number rammed into a Micra Taxi while trying to overtake another speeding vehicle.

“The corpses of the victims have been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital Odeda, while the injured persons are receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the same hospital,’’ he said.

Oladele however, advised motorists to desist from wrongful overtaking and adhere strictly to speed limit to avoid unnecessary loss of lives.
