Ayade Greets Emir Of Ilorin on 27th Coronation Anniversary

Cross River state governor, Professor Ben Ayade has celebrated the Emir of Ilorin,Maimartaba (Dr)Ibrahim Sulu Gambari on the 27th anniversary of the ancension to the throne of his forefathers.

In a congratulatory message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity,Mr Christian Ita, Governor Ayade noted that Alhaji Sulu-Gambari’s reign as the 11th Emir of Ilorin “has brought tremendous peace and multi-sectoral growth and development not only to the Ilorin Emirate but to Kwara as a state”

The governor expressed delight that the Emir who is the permanent Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council has for 27 years discharged his fatherly role as a first class monarch creditably well resulting in mutual cooperation not only among other Kwara monarchs but also the entire citizens which has created numerous opportunities for people to excel in various fields of human endeavour and in various capacities in the country.

“Cross River State for instance is home to many Kwara indigenes many of whom are doing well in their chosen fields while some others are appointees of my government. We are indeed proud of them and will continue to support and encourage them”, Ayade said. 

Joining the government and the people of Kwara state to wish the Emir more years of peaceful reign, the governor stated: “On behalf of the government and people of Cross River State, I wish your Royal Highness, more peaceful years on the throne of your forefathers.

“I join the government and people of Kwara state to congratulate you, our revered Emir, and pray for many more years of good health for you and sustainable reign over the Ilorin Emirate.”
