A three compartment toilet Facility built by the Founder of Baraje Center for Arabic and Islamic studies Gerewu in Ilorin,  Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, for residents of Idi- Ose Compound, Adabata, Ilorin has been commissioned.

The facility which contains modern toilet facilities is to assist residents of the area from defecating in the open or nearby bushes.

Alhaji Baraje, who was represented at the event by one of his closest associates, Alhaji  Raheem Olesin

promised to construct more of such structures in areas where they are in need as part of his contribution to give back humanitarian services to the society.

The donor who is a Chieftain of the People’s   Democratic Party (PDP)  expressed concern that most compounds in the  Ilorin Emirate lack toilet facilities which is not too healthy for such residents as open defecasies could eventually  lead to epidemic outbreak.

Alhaji Baraje therefore appealed to the beneficiaries to make proper use of the facility.

Responding on behalf of the benefitting residents, Alhaji Isiaka Iyanda Adafila who facilitated the project,  commended Alhaji Baraje for coming to their aid to contruct the toilet  and promised to make proper use of it.

According to him, the facility would stop the practice whereby people particularly the young once in the area defecate in the open or nearby bushes where they do not only expose themselves to epedemy but other dangers.
