Bayelsa United Vows To Fight For Better League Standing

Date:

Bayelsa United technical adviser, Meremu Okara, has expressed confidence that his team will continue to fight for a strong finish in the ongoing season.

The Prosperity Boys have recorded just one win in their last five matches and currently sit 13th on the league table with 23 points.

In their most recent outing, Bayelsa United suffered a 2-0 defeat to Kwara United, adding pressure on the team to improve results.

Despite recent setbacks, Okara insists the team still has the potential to climb the table with a few positive results.

“The league is very open, our position on the log isn’t that bad. If we win two or three matches, we can move up,” Okara said in an interview with the club’s media team.

He emphasized that the team will maintain focus and continue giving their best on the field. “The league is still open, and we will keep fighting and hope for the best,” he added.

Bayelsa United will aim to recover in their upcoming matches as they seek to improve their standing before the season concludes.

The coach’s comments reflect a determination to motivate the players and maintain belief in their ability to achieve respectable results.
