Breaking.....Appeal Court sacks Zamfara Govt -ElectA Court of Appeal sitting in Sokoto has set aside the judgment of a Zamfara High Court on the All Progressives Congress, (APC), primaries that produced the party’s candidates for the governorship, National and State Assembly elections.

The judgment was delivered by Justice Tom Yakubu.

But few hours before the election, a court order cleared APC to participate in the Zamfara governorship elections.

It would be recalled that the APC primaries crisis had been lingering since October 2018 between the APC factions loyalist to Governor Abdula’ziz Yari and that of G8 group, which took the party to various courts seeking redress.

After the election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the APC governorship candidate in Zamfara, Alhaji Mukhtar Shehu, the winner of the gubernatorial poll in the state.
