Breaking…. District Head of Ballah, Salman Abdulkadir is dead

The District Head of Ballah (Daudu Ballah of Ilorin Emirate), in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Salman Olarongbe Abdulkadir, is dead.

He was one of the sons of Shehu Abdulkadir Dan Shauibu Bawa, the late 8th Emir of Ilorin (1919-1959), cousin to Shehu Zulqarnaini Gambari, the late 9th Emir of Ilorin (1959-1992) brother to Shehu Aliyu AbdulKadir, the late 10th Emir of Ilorin (1992-1995) and uncle to His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, the current and 11th Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council as well as His Royal Highness Alhaji Aminu Ado-Bayero CFR and His Royal Highness Alhaji Nasiru Ado-Bayero OFR, the Emirs of Kano and Bichi respectively.

ROYAL NEWS reports that the District Head died on Tuesday after a brief ilness.

He was until his death, a senior member of the Ilorin Emirate Council and a Prince of the Shehu Alimi dynasty.
