BREAKING…. Gov Ahmed appoints new Oluganna of Ganmo with 3rd Class status (PHOTOS)

The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Abdullahi Atanda Kolawole as the Oluganna of Ganmo.

ROYAL NEWS reports that the monarch was also upgraded and presented with Third Class Staff of Office on Saturday 18, May 2019.

Speaking at the formal presentation of instruments of office to the new monarch, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the State, Alhaji Habeeb Saidu, assisted by the Permanent Secretary , Dr. (Mrs) Abibat Katibi and other staff of the Ministry, lauded Governor Ahmed for putting an end to the aged-long dispute in the community.

In his acceptance speech, the Oba Atanda Kolawole thanked Governor Ahmed for recognising him as a traditional ruler and upgrade to the 3rd Class status.

He however pledged to maintain peace, unity and harmony in order to attract growth and development into the community.

In his remarks, the Jagunmolu of Igbomina land , Alhaji Abdulraheem Oladimeji, appealed to the people of Ganmo community to sheathe their swords and allow peace to reign stressing that the new traditional ruler should embrace all the aggrieved parties involved in the legal tussle for sustainable harmony and unity.

Oladimeji who is also the founder of Al-Hikmah University, Adeta-Ilorin, charged the entire people of the community to support the monarch in taking the community to enviable levels.
