Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has visited President Muhammadu Buhari in London, spokesman, Laolu Akande has said.
In a tweet today, Akande said Osinbajo and his boss held a meeting today and he will be returning to Nigeria immediately.
Akande did not provide more information.
The visit may well signal that President Buhari may soon be making a return journey to Nigeria, two months after he left for medical treatment. He left on 7 May on the day that he received some of the Chibok girls released by Boko Haram.
He had in January also sought medical help in London and returned in March, declaring that ‘he had never felt so sick in his life’.
Hints that the President has recovered were dropped via metaphors used by his wife, Aisha, on Twitter. She said hyenas and jackals will soon be flushed out of ‘the kingdom’, with the return of the Lion King, a reference to President Buhari.
