[BRIEF] What Atiku discussed with Obasanjo in Abeokuta

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday received Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

Recall that former Aide-de-Camp to Obasanjo, Major Gen. Chris Jemitola, died while playing golf in Abuja few days ago.

Atiku was former Vice President to Obasanjo from 1999 to 2007, ROYAL NEWS reports

Meanwhile, the former number two citizen’s convoy arrived at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta at 12:36pm.

Atiku was accompanied by a former Cross River and Sokoto governors Liyel Imoke and Senator Aminu Tambuwal and also the senator representing Bauchi Central, Abdul Ningi.

Shortly after the meeting, Atiku told journalists that it was only a courtesy visit.

Following a barrage of questions, he said he would not make comments on political issues.

“It’s just a courtesy visit, please. I am not going to talk about politics,” he said.
