Brunei, Rwanda establish diplomatic relations

The Brunei government on Thursday agreed to establish diplomatic relations with the government of the Republic of Rwanda, effective from Dec. 9, 2020.

According to a press release from Brunei’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the signing of the Joint Communique took place at the Permanent Mission of Brunei to the United Nations (UN) in New York.

The government of Brunei was represented by Hajah Noor Qamar, Brunei’s Permanent Representative to the UN, while the government of the Republic of Rwanda was represented by Valentine Rugwabiza, also the country’s UN Permanent Representative.
