Buhari offered solution to Nigeria’s problem
President Muhammadu Buhari has been told to kick out uncommitted minsters with a view to getting the country out of its present predicaments.
Engr. Yusuf Adamu, an elder statesman stated this in an open letter he wrote the president on Thursday in Kaduna.
According to him: “Cabinet reshuffling as a first stage is not a good starting point because moving one minister to another ministry will even compound the problem by carrying inefficiency to the new ministry, the best way to go about it is to kick out those incompetent and uncommitted ministers and replace them with new people who can do the work”
“The change or shake-up should start from the presidency. Anybody who cannot add value to you should go. People are suggesting that you need a civilian equivalent of late Tunde Idiagbon to make things work because the presidency is the gateway of your administration.
“You need a gate keeper who will make it possible for you to accomplish your agenda, honest people who will always assist you and tell you how things are and committed to you to achieve your objectives of being a source of joy and political strength to the masses who supported you.”
The elder statesman further stressed that, “There seems to be a gap and a divide between the party and the presidency which can be attributed to the cabal. This gap does not need to exist because you need the party and the people, reach out to them and anybody undermining you and your agenda needs to be kicked out.”
