Buhari has political will, capacity to transform Nigeria – Emir of Zuru

Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Sami, Gomo II, believes President Muhammadu Buhari has the political will and capability to move Nigeria out of the current economic recession.

He also believed that some unscrupulous Nigerians were hell bent on seeing that the President does not succeed, saying they would not succeed in their evil thoughts.

The Emir said this during the annual cultural festival of Zuru, known as Uhola festival. He submitted that the country was in a real mess and in urgent need of practical solution out of the socio-economic recession.

According to him, the hardship was plunged into due to the wastefulness and recklessness of the past administration stressed that, he was confident President Muhammadu Buhari would take Nigeria out of it.

Said he, “I for one ,believe in Buhari’s will power and capability to find a way out of the economic mess and I believe most Nigerians are not in doubt of this either.

“The problem is with those minorities who thrive in the socio-economic sharp practices and do not want to let go.”

The traditional ruler noted that it was high time for Nigerians to stand up to true democracy and support the president to fight corruption and make his campaign for accountability to succeed.

He said: “The traditional rulers, governors, members of the state and national assembly must also lend moral and operational support to Buhari”.

The royal father, who said President Buhari could always count on the support and cooperation of his council, however, enjoined the All Progressives Party (APC) to rally round the president to succeed.

“As for you in the ruling party you have no option but to support Buhari,” the emir said.

The emir said the annual Uhola festival was designed to promote peace and progress among the people of the Zuru chiefdoms and Nigeria in general.

He said “It was created for the purpose of thanksgivings and expression of our gratitude to God for His divine protection and providence on Zuru people”.
