Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson set for Bayern switch

Date:

Bayern Munich are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson on loan.

According to BBC Sports on Tuesday, the 24-year-old Senegal international is set to move to the Bundesliga champions after both clubs reportedly reached an agreement, with German outlet Bild confirming the development.

Jackson’s omission from Chelsea’s squad for their August 22, 2025, Premier League clash against West Ham, as well as friendlies against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan, has intensified speculation about his future at Stamford Bridge.

The striker has fallen down the pecking order following Chelsea’s summer acquisitions of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, paving the way for a potential switch to Germany.

Jackson netted 13 goals in 37 appearances last season and remains under contract with Chelsea until 2033. Since moving to Europe, he has featured in four seasons with Chelsea and Villarreal, recording 36 goals and 14 assists across 100 appearances.

In the 2024–25 campaign, he registered 10 goals and five assists in 30 matches for Chelsea.
