Clerics stress on importance of Qu’ranic education

          The 4th Ramadan Qur’an Recitation Competition and lecture in honour of the late parents of Alhaji Dr. Ayinla Saadu Koroagba Alanamu reached the climax on Saturday 24 June 2017 which marked the end of Ramadan fast for 1439 A.H.

The competition which commenced since the beginning of 1439 AH Ramadan fast at DarusSalam AlMubarak Institute of Arabic & Islamic Studies Alagbado Eyekorin under the auspices of Ustaz AbdusSalam Ibrahim Alanamu AlMubarak and supported by Alhaji Mashood Yunus Bin Malik rounded up at Balogun Alanamu compound, Ilorin.

The competitors were drawn from within and outside Ilorin from places like Kisi, Cotonou and Oyo etc. In the first recitation, Latifat Ibrahim from Ilorin emerged 1st, Salahudeen Bin Salahudeen from Cotonou came 2nd while Abdulqudus Yahyah from Oyo came 3rd.

Copies of Holy Qur’an, cash, food stuffs, drinks, wall clocks, standing fans, etc were distributed to all the participants and winners in the Qur’anic recitation completion including the guest lecturer.

In his lecture, Al Imam Muhammad Awwal reminded Muslims on the benefits of sponsoring Quranic recitation completion during and after Ramadan. In his remarks, the Coordinator of the programme, Ustaz AbdusSalam Ibrahim Alanamu AlMubarak who is also the Mudiru of DarusSalam AlMubarak Institute of Arabic & Islamic Studies Alagbado Eyekorin thanked the organiser and sponsor of the programme, Alhaji Dr. Ayinla Saadu Koroagba Alanamu who he described as a promoter of Qur’anic education in Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

According to Ustaz AbdusSalam, “I believe that Almighty Allah will not only reward Dr. Saadu Alanamu for organising this Quranic competition, He will equally reward his late parents for whom this completion is dedicated; all those who gather here today will also be rewarded”.
