COAS visits Benue, pledges more military interventions in crises ridden areas

The Chief of Army Staff, Major Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, has promised to deploy troops towards curtailing the menace of bandits in Benue State.
Lagbaja stated this on Wednesday when he paid a solardarity visit to Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr Hyacinth Iormem Alia, at the Government House in Makurdi.
He further announced that crisis prone spots where terrorists activities are on prowl such as Katsina-Ala,Logo, as well as Ukum observing these axis where it has become hide out for bandits, we shall deployed our troops in the affected communities to assist in quelling the uprising in the affected communities.
The C0AS also averred that other hide outs for bandits would not be spared noting the troops would work assiduously towards ensuring total peace in the State.
He however disclosed that efforts are in the offing to unveiled methods towards ensuring every Nigerian sleeps with two eyes close, urging to restrained patience as concerted efforts was intensified to tackled security challenges plaguing the country.
The Chief of Staff COAS Major General Lagbaja conscious efforts must made to returned internally Displaced Persons to their ancestral homes, pledging adequate provisions of security to safeguard the returnees with their properties.
Earlier Governor Hyacinth Alia had expressed enthusiasm with the C0AS for listening to our cry and applauded military for prompt intervention.
