Court nullifies Kano PDP guber candidate
Barely five days to the March 9, governorship and state house of assembly polls, a Federal High Court sitting in Kano has dismissed the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP, governorship candidacy for not conducting primaries.
Justice Ambrose Lewis ruled that the purported nomination of Abba Kabir as governorship candidate of the PDP is void.
However, Counsel to the Plantiff, Kabiru Usman declared that the party would have to provide another Governorship Candidate before the coming polls.
The PDP counsel stated that the verdict did not affect Abba Kabir as a candidate but the PDP as a party adding that the party has to obey court order.
