A family of four riding on a motorcycle has been wiped off by a truck driver in Kano.

The incident occurred on Sunday, ROYAL NEWS has learnt. The victims are; Sagir Muhammad, 40, (husband) his wife and two of their children who were on their way to the city.

The truck according to findings, belongs to Dangote Group and fully loaded with cement at Gaida village, a suburb of Kano city.

A source and family friend, Junaidu Musa said late Sagir just left where they took breakfast at Tea Café (Mai Shai) from where he proceeded with his family of five on his motorbike on a visitation to the main city when he was crushed.

‘’His four-year-old boy survived the accident though the other two, with the wife and himself died instantly, ‘’said Juniadu.

Kano Command Police Spokesman, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa,  said the incident that occurred around 10.30 am involving, a man, his wife and three of their children who were all rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital.

‘’Only a child survived the accident and had since been discharged,’’ said Kiyawa.

The police image maker added that the truck had been moved to police formation, while a search for the driver who fled the scene has since commenced as they have contacted the company.
