Davido Denies Viral Claim He Was Slapped in Warri

Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has debunked social media claims that he was slapped during a recent outing in Warri, Delta State.

A viral video showed the singer surrounded by fans and security personnel, with a moment where it appeared he was struck on the head. The clip sparked speculation online, with one X user posting, “Warri people no get joy oo. See dem sl@p Davido for head.”

Responding on his official X handle on Monday, Davido clarified that the incident was a misunderstanding, explaining that his own security aide accidentally hit him. “Mumu that was my security .. hit me by mistake .. saddist,” he wrote. The clarification has since quelled the rumors.
