Death Toll Rises to 27 in Plateau Community Attack

The death toll from the recent attack in the Angwan Rukuba area of Plateau State has risen to 27, according to a fresh report by African Independent Television.

The incident, which has heightened tensions in the affected community, also left several residents injured. Victims are currently receiving treatment at nearby medical facilities.

Security operatives have since been deployed to the area to restore calm and prevent further violence.

Military authorities, in a statement condemning the attack, assured residents that efforts were ongoing to track down and apprehend those responsible for the killings.

The latest development adds to concerns over recurring violence in parts of Plateau State, where communities have faced periodic security challenges in recent months.

Authorities have urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies as investigations continue.
