The Minister of Defence, Christopher Gwabin Musa, has called for continued national support for troops battling insecurity across Nigeria, stressing that prayers, unity, and public encouragement remain vital to ongoing military operations.
Musa made the appeal while receiving the General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Lazarus Muoka, during a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja on Monday.
According to the minister, the fight against insurgency, terrorism, banditry, and other criminal activities requires a collective national effort. He noted that prayers and moral support from religious organisations have continued to strengthen the morale of troops deployed in different parts of the country.
Musa also commended Pastor Muoka and members of the church for their support for the Armed Forces, reaffirming the military’s commitment to protecting Nigeria’s territorial integrity and ensuring the safety of citizens. He urged religious leaders to continue promoting peace, patriotism, and national unity.
In his remarks, Pastor Muoka pledged continued support for the Armed Forces and the Federal Government. He offered prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking for wisdom, strength, and good health, while also praying for divine protection and victory for Nigerian troops and lasting peace across the country.
