Digital Leap: Kwara Commends FAO Global Vision on Food Sustainability

Kwara State Government has commended Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for introducing the 12 digital agricultural domains, that will ultimately help to accelerate the transformation to more efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable agri-food systems for better production, nutrition, environment and better lives, leaving no one behind.

The Commissioner for Livestock Development, Mrs. Oloruntoyosi Thomas, affirmed that this tech-driven approach aligns with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led administration’s vision for Livestock transformation in Kwara.

In this vein, Kwara, Lagos and Anambra States at the Digital Village Initiative, inception workshop pledged their commitments to applying digital solutions, to drive food system transformation in the country.

The Commissioner commended the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and Federal Ministry of Agriculture for this partnership, anticipating significant benefits for Kwara farmers and herders through enhanced data practices and market access.
