Ekiti kidnap: Communities raise N450,000 out of N100million ransome

Barely few days after the abductions in Ekiti, members of the community have strived hard to contribute the sum of N450,000 to secure the release of the victims.

 

ROYLA NEWS reports that the kidnappers had earlier demanded the sum of N100million as ransome before they can set the pupils of a private nursery school in Eporo Ekiti who were ambushed in a school bus while returning home at about 5 pm.

In the attack, about six school pupils, three teachers, and a driver were taken to the bush by their abductors.

The gunmen suspected to be kidnappers attacked the bus at a place in Eporo-Ekiti, close to the Ondo state border, and whisked it to the forest.

Efforts by the Eporo-Ekiti community to meet the demand of the kidnappers appeared to have hit the rock as of late yesterday evening.

It was gathered that seven of the ten kidnapped victims, which included six school pupils, two teachers, a bus driver, and his conductor were from the Eporo-Ekti community in Emure Ekiti Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
