Emir of Ilorin commiserates with Fountain Varsity VC over mother’s death
He described the deceased as a woman of high value to Islam and humanity in general due to her exceptional contributions to Girl Child’s education and youth empowerment during her lifetime.
This is contained in condolence message issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, on Tuesday stressing that, “the deceased was a devouted and pious Muslim.”
Hajia Amuda Saji-Odusote died on Friday at the age of 89, ROYAL NEWS reports.
He said: “The deceased was very impactful to community development programmes particularly in the area of academic pursuit of the Youths and generosity towards vulnerable members of the society.
“She has given humanity a world-class female academician who has rose to become a University Vice-Chancellor. With this and many more, it is a truism that the deceased has played significant and landmark roles on earth.”
“May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds and admit her into al-janatul firdaos”, he prayed.
