Emir of Ilorin prays for newly promoted police officers, Adio Ayoku, others

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR on Thursday described the newly promoted Officers of the Nigeria Police as worthy ambassadors of the Ilorin emirate and state at large.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, in a congratulatory message issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, expressed joy over the elevation of Babatunde Ishola Babaita, Yekini Adio Ayoku and Oyediran Adesoye Oyeyemi to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police respectively while Salman Dogo Garba and Mr. Adegbola Aina were both promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police.

According to the Emir, “Your excellent performances, commitments and dedication to duty in the areas of national security has further led to your upliftment among many others. I implore you to rededicate yourself to the protection of lives and property in the nation.

“You are also expected to always provide valuable inputs that will further become veritable policy frameworks for the actualization of peaceful coexistence among the people of Nigeria.”

The monarch however prayed for Allah’s guidance and absolute protection for the newly promoted senior police officers across the country in order to continue to soar higher in their meritorious service to the nation.
