Emir Sulu-Gambari applauds Kwarans for peaceful conduct of Eid-el-Kabir festival

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has expressed joy over the peaceful conduct of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

He lauded the peaceful conduct of Muslim Ummah and thanked the government of Kwara State for improving on the security system across the Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari stated this on Friday in his sallah message to the people of the state shortly after the two rakat prayer led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam Soliu OON, ROYAL NEWS reports.

The Emir urged Muslim Ummah to sustain their religious obligation of living in peace and harmony with fellow human beings and desist from any act capable of causing disuntiy among members of the society.

He added that, “We must be security conscious being vigilant in respect of the security situation in the country”, even as he prayed for the sick persons and dead.

In his Sermon, the Chief Imam urged the people to love each and treat one another with sincerity and empathy.
