The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has rejoiced with Amb. Nuhu Bamali, over his official coronation and presentation of Staff of Office as the 19th Emir of Zazzau.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari described the emergence of the new Emir as the will of Allah towards a prosperous Zazzau Emirate as well as peaceful co-existence of the people of Kaduna State at large.

The Emir stated this in a statment issued by his Spokesperson, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona on Tuesday.

According to him, “His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR heartily fecilitated with His Royal Highness, Ambassador Nuhu Bamali on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers as the 19th Emir of Zazzau. Let me reiterate that Emirs are born and not made.

“It is the will of Almighty Allah that you will be turbaned as the Emir at this auspicious moment. I couldn’t attend the coronation ceremony which was held on Moday due to the fact that the 25th anniversary of my ascension to throne as the 11th Emir of Ilorin is Wednesday which is just about 48hours interval. However, Kwara Council of Chiefs was duly represented by some of our first class Emirs present at the event.

“Insha Allah, I will personally visit you soonest at your palace to rejoice with you and the entire people of Zazzau Emirate. May Allah give you sound health, wisdom, comfort and long reign on the throne.”

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari therfore urged the people of the state to rally round the new Emir in order to make his reign eventful as well as attract more growth and development for the benefit of the entire citizenry.
