Ex-Kwara APC guber aspirants organise mega rally tomorrow

Arrangements have been concluded by former governorship aspirants from Kwara Central Senatorial District to organise a mega rally ahead of the Saturday March 9, Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.

A statement issued on Wednesday by the planning committee disclosed that the rally which is scheduled to hold on Thursday (tomorrow), is aimed at garnering  massive support for all APC candidates in the Saturday polls.

It added that Prof. Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem,  Hon. Moshood Mustapha,  Malam Saliu Mustapha, Alhaji Abdulhakeem Lawal, Ambassador Yahaya Seriki, Waziri Yakubu Gobir, Alhaji Luqman Mustapha and other  ex- APC guber aspirants are expected to lead the rally.

According the statement, “The rally train will take off at APC party secretariat, Alanamu Ward,Isale Aluko area Ilorin at 8am and move round the Ilorin metropolis and terminate at the Ilorin baseball park, Adeta Ilorin. APC supportersand well wishers are expected to converge at the take off point and ensure orderliness during the rally.

“We urge Kwarans to massively vote Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as the next governor of the state as well as all the candidates of the State House of Assembly across the state in order to actualize the O’To ge change mantra which has dominated the political sphere of Kwara.”

The statement however appealed to participants to be remain calm, peaceful and avoid any act capable of orchestrating break down of law and order before, during and after the rally stressing that security agencies will provide adequate protection and take charge of the exercise.
