Former Minister of Police Affairs Alhaji Abduljelili Adesinyan, has said that masses are suffering today in the country because all political party in Nigeria lack ideology.. Saying politicians are joining party on the bases of friendship.
Alhaji Adesinyan who made the declaration at the Guest Forum organised by the Members of Oyo State Correspondent’s Chapel of NUJ, in Ibadan said the last progressive Party in Nigeria was Alliance for Democracy AD, that produced the Southwest governers like Alhaji Lam Adesina (Oyo) ,Asiwaju Bola Tinubu (Lagos), Chief Segun Osoba ( Ogun), Chief Bisi Akande (Osun), Chief Adeniyi Adebayo (Ekiti), and Chief Adefarati (Ondo).
Adesinyan who was the Chairman of All Progressive Party, APC Screening Committee in Oyo State in 2022 and member of Presidential Committee of the ruling party declared that, APC remained only party propagating the manifestos of progressive because of it Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
He emphasized that Asiwaju has been a progressive since the day of late General Sanni Abacha when NADECO was formed to send the military juntas parking since the regime of General Ibrahim Babangida.
Adesinyan said, “Tinubu as a governor of Lagos state for eight years wrote his name in gold with unprecedented achievements in the area of developments and identify and building of many young people across Nigeria.”
He noted that he brought the current Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde to politics but lamented that the governor is lacking in experience. “I introduced him to politics, but, he lacks basic experience, unlike the APC governorship candidate now Senator Teslim Folarin, he as been in the upper Chamber for more than eight years. Makinde has never contested as a councillor or any other positions before becoming the governor.”
He therefore urged Nigerian to vote massively for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as president of Federal Republic of Nigeria and people of Oyo State to vote for Senator Teslim Folarin as governor in forthcoming elections.
